...Or something like that. Basically, this is the week on campus in which everybody dresses up all crazy and does a series of activities that are totally wild. Global Student Council, I believe, does this as a way to give a platform to students running for office in the school elections; but they also do it for the fun. Today, for instance, was Horrible Crazy Mismatch Day, in which everyone wore white, even though it's before Labor Day, and also improperly tailored sports coats. You can imagine the "hijinks" that ensued with that! But it didn't stop there. In the cafeteria at lunch, Global Student Council performed an acapella version of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" that slayed both faculty and students alike!
I am kidding, of course. Everyone wore seizure-inducingly garish clothing, except for those individuals with y chromosomes. And at lunch, Global Student Council didn't really go for Michael Jackson; they chose "Love Shack" by the B-52s instead. All in all, it was an outrageous day and I, for one, had to forego my usual afternoon study of Shakespeare because I'd simply had too much by that point.
Tomorrow is Green Lumberjack Day, which sounds to me like a celebration honoring Paul Bunyan's lovechild with Marvin the Martian.
Or a good name for a novelty band. But it actually has more to do with saving the environment through Awareness, which is something that everybody can get behind.
...is that a cucumber?
