As a great bibliophile (book lover), I have of course read a lot in my day. I read a lot of fantasy, literature, plays, humor, and (within certain disciplines) nonfiction. But one thing I haven't read much prolifically is spiritual literature. I've read a couple "big" things- like The Bible or The Baghavad Gita- and I've read some philosophy and theology; up until I came here, I assumed that that's about all there was to spiritual practices. But, for the last eight months I've been veritably deluged with book reccomendations; to be honest, I can't keep track, and I've forgotten every book I've been told about.
So: any recommendations? Books with a strong message AND pictures of dinosaurs riding unicorns would be ideal, but I'll settle for a strong message.
